Why we give

Historically, Christians have been well-known for their generosity and at the start even shared their possessions so no one went hungry (Acts 2:44-47). Giving was meant to be a joy, giving the Christ-follower an opportunity to help others. The apostle Paul also wrote, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7). We therefore believe giving is an opportunity to bless others by investing in the mission of the local church.

Your generous giving enables Anchor of Hope to impact our community with the good news of God’s love. If you consider Anchor of Hope your church home, we would encourage you to give and join what God is doing through our church through your financial generosity.*

If you are checking out Anchor of Hope for the first time, we want to let you know there is no expectation for you to give. In fact, we consider our services a gift to you. Financial giving is an opportunity for our members to invest in the mission of our church.

*13.5% of our annual church budget is invested in external partnerships we believe are advancing the Kingdom of God in our community and the world.
