Lord’s Supper
We partake of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) by putting bread and juice in our bodies - we ingest them - as a tangible act that helps us to remember that WE are holy, Christ is in US. The bread and juice literally become part of us. We are what we eat! Saying thank you is a great starting point. The ultimate giving of thanks is going into the world, mending what is broken, pouring our lives out so that downstream another person or family or entire community re-members God, and says, “Thank You!” ...repeating the process.

Easter Sunday (Public Launch)
Join us this Easter Sunday at Anchor of Hope. He is risen! He is risen indeed! This Sunday will also serve as the public launch of Anchor of Hope (formerly First Baptist Church of Kenai). For more than one year, we’ve been experiencing spiritual renewal as we have undertaken an organizational development process that has led us to reimagine (rebrand and relaunch) church. We’re excited about the new thing God is doing in and through this faith community. There is no better time than now to join us for worship, especially if you do not have a home church. You belong here!
Evangelism Training
Evangelism Training is class for new and seasoned Christians who are interested in learning more about how to have gospel conversations, and what it means to not only invite people to your church, but to Christ. You’ll learn “why behind the what.” You’ll walk away with more confidence and a several strategies for talking with friends, family, and strangers about your faith, and God’s love for every person.
Game Night
Game Night is finally happening again! Adults and families with children are welcome alike. Game nights are all about getting together to have fun, joke, laugh, and challenge each other. Game Night is a social highlight – it provides great social interaction (that’s what a board game or a card game really is – a tool to get people at the table talking), a fun evening with friends, and some great thought-provoking game play. Bring a good attitude, snacks to share, and your favorite games.
Women’s Meetup
Hi ladies! Bring a heart healthy snack to share. Grab a coffee. Join us in the conference room at Dry Bones on Saturday, February 26, from 11am-1pm. We’ll have a guest speaker who will share how we can minister to and love on others in our community. This will be an informative and relational meetup 🙏🏻
Men’s Breakfast
This is a breakfast to which Christian men can invite their non-Christian male friends, so they can meet other men who can be a godly example in their lives. We’ll take prayer requests and pray for specific needs right then, and also hear a brief testimony from a man about how God changed his life. Brothers’ Cafe will provide the breakfast. The cost is $10 per meal. If you’d like to cover a meal for your guest or someone else’s, let our Lead Pastor Zach know.

Membership Course
Membership Course is class for the families and individuals who are interested in learning more about covenant membership, and what it means to make Anchor of Hope your home church. It is also a refresher course for existing members who want to get excited all over again about being part of a disciple-making church that exists to help people find and follow Jesus. During the two-hour conversation, led by our Elders, we will discuss our church’s organizational strategy, the demographics of our community, our church’s history - the good, the bad, and the ugly, our organizational structure and partnerships, our doctrinal beliefs, and how to get involved (next steps).
Women's Ministry Meeting
Anchor of Hope Ladies are collecting and sorting items for the upcoming Project Homeless Connect event in January. Items needed include non perishable foods, clothing items, and toiletries. Ladies will gather at Chris Morin’s home for fellowship and to presort items.
